Tess has been progressing in strides. She is very good on the ground and will let anyone lead her-- She is very sweet and a great personality. She has been developing more and more muscle and showing a lot of bravery and scope. She is a very nice mover and has automatic lead changes! She will be going to her first show February 20th at Poplar Place.

Contessa is a very special mare. She is a 1/2 sister to Cor Magnifique and just as talented. I came across Tess at the same farm where Cor Magnifique resides. She was a problem horse because she decided that she would not be touched  or caught and was loosing weight but no one could catch her and figure out the problem. For some reason or another I felt a click with this skinny mare that wanted nothing to do with me. She was almost worse than a mustang-- as far as trusting humans, and once we got her into a smaller pen she tried everything to escape--over and under. I finally was able to get a halter her and it was another fight to get to the barn so we could find the reason she was loosing weight. After a couple of sessions I finally got her to trust me so I could hand graze her and I was able to notice that she had a problem swallowing and that was the reason of the weight loss. So the Saye's put her on a feeding program that enabled the weight to start pouring on. But she would only let me touch her, lead her,or even put a halter on--it kinda made me feel good.  This should be a fun one to watch grow and progress...
